Mona Bowen — Kindergarten Lead Teacher
Mrs. Bowen is a certified teacher in grades Pre-K through six and middle grades mathematics in the states of Georgia and Virginia. She taught fifth grade math, science, and social studies for two years in Georgia public schools. Mrs. Bowen spent another year-and-a-half teaching Algebra to eighth grade students before her husband’s job in the military resulted in a family move. She currently serves as a volunteer on the Education Advisory Council for the Children’s Science Center of Virginia. She and her husband and two daughters attend Park Valley Church.
Mrs. Bowen frequently recites the following Bible verse to herself and her children: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5: 22-23) |

Lori Burr — Kindergarten Lead Teacher
Mrs. Burr has a wide range of experience in educating children and has had the opportunity to work for public, private, and charter schools. She has taught pre-school through high school. She is very enthusiastic about teaching and is dedicated to establishing a love for learning in her students. She specializes in developing strong academic foundations while serving our Lord. One of her favorite Bible passages is Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
