Dr. Katherine Rickwald, EdD

Katherine Howe Rickwald, EdD — Principal

Dr. Rickwald came to us last year after eight years of teaching at Trinity Christian School in Fairfax, and having completed her Doctorate in Education in May of 2010.  In pursuance of her EdD, she studied Christian education and ecumenism at the Centro Pro Unione in Rome and the University of Oxford in England.  Prior to her life in academia, Dr. Rickwald earned a Master's Degree in Human Services Counseling from Regent University and served as a counselor and intake coordinator at Christian Fellowship Church in Ashburn and McLean Bible Church.

A simple but favorite Scripture verse of Dr. Rickwald’s is:  “Here I am, with the children that God has given me.”  (Hebrews 2:13b)  These words demonstrate Jesus’ unwavering acceptance of His ministerial calling and His compassion for the souls who put their trust in Him.  Dr. Rickwald strives to be conformed to this image of Christ, the Great Teacher, and hopes to always seek His guidance as she interacts with the precious little ones in her care – the children that God has given her.

Cheri Cardine

Cheri Cardine — Office Manager

Mrs. Cardine brings 20 years of office experience to her work at St. Paul's. She was Administrative Assistant to the Archbishop of the Eastern and Central Province of the Charismatic Episcopal Church, held administrative posts at two major hospitals and a university, and was the Accounts Manager for a local blacksmith shop. Mrs. Cardine also spent many happy years as a nanny and a homemaker. She studied home economics at the University of Missouri.

One of the Scripture passages that is dearest to Mrs. Cardine’s heart is Psalm 100: “Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.”
